This place was amazing, I wish we could have stayed longer. The winding road to the top is a little nerve-wracking especially when you're driving through the clouds to get there but once you're there you really don't have to leave! They have a pub, restaurant, coffee shop, pool and spa in the summer, huge lounge with plenty of seating. Definitely recommend visiting at least once.

Wonderful location, beautiful setting. We've been here before the hurricane several times and they seem to be back to normal. The staff at front desk was always helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom would benefit by having at least one hook to hang things! Food and service at restaurant was very good. Husband's prime rib was excellent and he is picky. Room for improvement: Streaming Netflix etc. on the "smart" TV was great, but we could not figure out how to get the Sunday night football game on a live broadcast channel. The friendly lady at the front desk gave us a sheet of complicated directions, that didn't work, so she had to come up and got it working somehow. Otherwise, it was a great visit.

The Peppermint Pub was an absolute holiday treat. Stephanie welcomed us with a special holiday cocktail menu that perfectly topped off the Christmas spirit woven throughout the space. Her mixology alone is worth the visit, and I’m already looking forward to coming back to experience her magic again. We drove up specifically to visit the Peppermint Pub and were pleasantly surprised by the refreshed resort. It felt warm, inviting, and festive. I loved the rockers inside by the fireplace over looking the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We’re already talking about returning for New Year’s Eve or their New Year’s brunch. People truly make a place, and the attention to detail and genuine friendliness of everyone we met made this a memorable evening. We will absolutely be back.

Had a wonderful overnight stay here with my wife. They had clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice amenities including the evening firepits and attached Chalet restaurant, as well as a solid amount of activities to do in the surrounding area. Would recommend for a fun weekend getaway, or even longer, if you're wanting a good centralized location that allows access within driving distance to both the Boone and Asheville areas.

We had our daughter’s wedding in September of 2025. I cannot say enough great things about the entire experience!! The hospitality and attention to detail were beyond our wildest dreams! The venue is absolutely stunning and provided the perfect setting for the perfect wedding. Rooms are all so beautiful, from lodge rooms to cabins to cottages. It felt like we had a literal army of people ensuring that the entire weekend was a literal fairy tale. Kelly is the best wedding planner ever. Food/meal planning was perfect and so delicious!! She put up with a lot from the neurotic mother of the bride haha. I will l definitely leave people out (don’t know everyone’s name) but all of these people made it the perfect wedding weekend: Stephanie, Ben, Samantha, Candace, Fernando (and ALL of the kitchen staff, food is absolutely amazing), Madi, Whitney, and everyone else. Every last staff member worked their fingers to the bone to ensure everything was perfect!!! Best place for a mountain getaway ever!!! Beautiful!!

5 stars simply one of the best places in the High Country bar none. The Ragged Garden Restaurant & The Wine Cellar In Blowing Rock is another 5 star place with an Inn & Cabins. The Peddler Steak House in Boone is 5 star. Woodlands BBQ in Blowing Rock is 5 star! Looking for Fast Food Chick-Fil-A in Boone. The owners of this franchise are two of the nicest you will ever meet.

Such a beautiful place to stay, the mountain view is so stunning. Spacious room with updated bathroom and decently comfortable bed. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pits for some late night relaxation. I had a Switzerland Inn Signature message with Marsha at the Spa that was absolutely phenomenal. The entire front desk staff during our weekend stay was just exceptional. Honestly, I was very impressed with the customer service and would definitely love to visit again. Highly recommend!

Where do I start? We 3 and 2 dogs stayed for Thanksgiving weekend in the main lodge. Our room was perfect, clean and spacious. The staff are amazing. Friendly, happy and helpful, especially Tamara at the front desk. Everyone we encountered were happy, therefore I assume they are treated well. Stephanie in the lounge was a sweetheart and worked very hard taking care of her guests. All of our meals were very good and the lobby was so festive and fun. Many fireplaces throughout and guests enjoying playing games and puzzling. We last visited in July and plan on going back in January, and thereafter. We feel so comfortable while visiting and are treated as if we are friends. Oh and I must mention Randy the masseuse was amazing! My daughter has had a couple of massages with Randy and loves her! So happy they will now stay open year round!
